Glossy Starling
           
 
 
"Kleinglansspreeu"    

This is the most widespread of the glossy blue-green starlings with orange eyes. It is found around trees in a variety of habitats, except in the eastern forests where it is replaced by the darker Black-bellied Starling. Forages in trees or on the ground, often visiting bird tables. It remains shy and wary.

 
Habitat    

Trees, thickets, grasslands, towns, cities and gardens.

 
Food    
Insects, other terrestrial invertebrates, nectar, fruit and berries.
