This is the most widespread of the glossy blue-green starlings with orange eyes. It is found around trees in a variety of habitats, except in the eastern forests where it is replaced by the darker Black-bellied Starling. Forages in trees or on the ground, often visiting bird tables. It remains shy and wary.
